IMMUNE BOOSTING FOODS TO EAT DAILY
Make sure you and your family are staying hydrated and eating foods that not only meet your daily dietary guidelines, but also improve your daily immune function.
1) Eat citrus fruits. these fruits are high in Vitamin C which is key to fighting off infections. Oranges, grape fruit, tangerines and limes are examples.
2) Eat your Broccoli! Broccoli is packed with vitamins A, C, and E as well as many other antioxidants and fiber. Don't cook it too much to keep all of its nutrients in tact. 3) Add garlic to cooked meals. Garlic can help lower blood pressure and slow down hardening of the arteries. It also has compounds such as allicin which gives it an immune boosting property. 4) Almonds are the best! Keep nuts and berries in you diet like almonds, they are rich in vitamin E which is another key to a healthy immune system. Try to eat them without much salt and flavoring. |
Make sure when you are eating you keep these suggestions in mind. Also substitute dairy milk with almond, oat, cashew or coconut milk.
